A mulching head is the fastest way through standing brush. A dozer moves what a mulcher can't. An excavator takes the stumps and root balls out whole. Most jobs want more than one of those, which is why we run more than one.
If a job needs a machine we don't own, we'll tell you that too.

What areas do you cover?
We're based in Starkville, Mississippi and work the Golden Triangle — Starkville, Columbus and West Point — as our home ground. Beyond that we'll travel out to roughly 200 miles in any direction for the right job, which covers most of Mississippi and reaches into Alabama and west Tennessee. Bigger tracts justify a longer haul; a small lot usually doesn't. Call and ask — it costs nothing to find out.
What's the difference between land clearing and forestry mulching?
Land clearing takes the material off — trees, brush and debris are pushed up, piled and removed, which leaves bare ground you can immediately build or grade on. Forestry mulching grinds the vegetation where it stands and leaves the chips on the ground as a mulch layer. Mulching is usually faster and cheaper on brush and small timber, and the mulch helps hold soil. Clearing is what you want when the ground has to end up bare.
Do you charge by the acre or by the hour?
It depends on the property. Acreage pricing works when the growth is even and predictable; hourly is fairer to you when it isn't — heavy timber, wet ground, trash and old fence wire all change how fast a machine moves. We'll tell you which one we're quoting and why before we start.
Do I need to be there when you look at it?
Not necessarily. If you can get us the address and mark roughly what you want done, we can usually walk it and get you a number. For anything with property lines, buried lines or a specific finished grade in mind, it's better if we walk it together.
What happens to the trees and brush you take out?
With mulching it stays on site as chips. With clearing it gets piled, and from there it can be burned where that's allowed, hauled off, or left in a pile out of the way — your call, and it affects the price, so we'll talk about it up front.
Can you work on wet or low ground?
Often, yes — tracked machines spread their weight and do far less damage than wheels. But there is a point where the right answer is to wait for it to dry rather than tear up your property. We'll be straight with you about which one you've got.
